Default What do you know about franchising?

I own a small, specialized mom and pop restaurant, and we do well enough to keep our heads above water, and put a few bucks in the bank.
We've been in business almost three years.
I recently received a letter from an outfit called Innovative franchise systems.
They told me they had interest in franchising my business. They say they provide the capitol and the investors to do it.
They said they make their money from a percentage charged to the franchisee. Basically saying there is no up front fee for their services of advertising and selling franchises.
Has anyone heard of these people, or had any experience in franchising your own restaurant?

I was reading an article about franchising and I remembered this thread. I don't know anything about franchising, but this article might be of some help.
