Default Menu Design

Hello all:

I am in the process of revamping my menu. I am wondering however, is it worth it to design my own menu from scratch or find someone to design it for me? Please help!

I think it is best that you design your own menu because no one knows your business better than you. I do feel however it is important to get impute from others in your field. I watched restaurant impossible last night and one of the first thing that Chef Robert irvine ddid was to look at the menu and saw that it was way to expansive for the chef and staff to handle so he revamped it to be more manageable.

Menu experts know the psychology behind the placement of your items. It is definitely worth it to invest in having a professional create your menu.

Default Menu Design

I agree with both sides here, and I think that you should be able to make the menu yourself. On the other hand, if you feel uncomfortable than you should have a paid professional arrange your restaurants menu. If you know the language your restaurant speaks than you should definitely attempt the creation of your own menu (especially if your not a franchise). Moreover, the menu is a common ground when people go out to eat, so it needs to attract the audiences attention and appeal to them. Also, If you have children, you could turn the menu creation into an arts an crafts project and make this into a fun project. This project can be fun, and while your cooking the food your restaurant offers you can make the dishes better and experiment with how they are served! I hope this helps and best of luck to you.
