Default Tipping is not a town in China!

I have heard a lot of waitresses complaining about lower tips due to slower restaurant traffic. Some of the waitresses I have talked to are getting out of waitressing due to the lower take home wage. I know that many restaurants are getting hit from higher staff costs due to increases in minimum wage at the same time.

Are you losing staff over the lower tip situation? What are some of the ways owners are trying to deal with this tough issue?
