Last weeks marketing strategy we discussed the importance of building your list so that you can begin to create marketing promotions and have a warm list to send them too. A loyalty program is taking that one step further. There are many programs out there, but the one I use is RepeatRewards (
PPMI - RepeatRewards).
This program can replace your comment card with their own sign up application for the program. The premise to the program is when the customer signs up they receive a plastic loyalty swipe card to use every time they dine at your restaurant. For every dollar your customer spends with you, they earn one point, and when they reach a certain level (a level that you set) they receive a reward. For example, when they spend $200.00 with you, collected over a period of time, your customer will have earned 200 points. Once your customer earns 200 points, the system will automatically send your customer a personalized award certificate for $10.00 to use in your restaurant the next time they dine with you. Now you have got them coming in AGAIN, yet another opportunity to earn more points. This incredible loyalty program has been adopted by many restaurants, grocery stores, gas companies and more! Don’t bypass this very vital role in rewarding your customers; it is another major component in restaurant marketing.
This system will also do additional mailings and track all results. It is user friendly, online based program, so at any time you can pull up reports and view numerous tracking programs such as:
How many customers are currently listed on your database.
How much money is spent in your restaurant in a month, day, week or year.
How much money your guests have spent on other features of your restaurant, for example catering bookings or bar only sales.
This program will also completely manage your database for you. Repeat Rewards offers a twice a year clean up of your list that is run through a national database. This “clean up” of your list is to help alleviate the clutter of any wrong or changed addresses or email addresses. The beauty of this loyalty program is the incredible convenience and effortless energy needed to make this a profitable part of your business. Repeat Rewards will also send out direct mail pieces and email pieces to your list through this program.
I highly suggest you to just start right off the bat with a program that has the capabilities to manage and track all of your information for you. Remember to use your time wisely, and this effortless strategy will help you to generate thousands of dollars for your restaurant.
